Workshop supervisor Errol Thomas believes the new A.R.T. plasma cutter offers huge benefits to businesses that currently hand-produce steel, stainless steel and aluminium parts. "One of the major benefits of the plasma cutter is that it drastically reduces labour time as this machine can produce parts in a tenth of the time. “Because it is produced using the CAD/CAM profiling software, every piece can be identically reproduced so you know it’s going to fit. This allows maximum material use and minimal wastage. “It is also extremely accurate and will cut metal ranging from .5mm to 32mm with a clean, quality finish.”
